I'm looking into buying a new rig. It's a 2000 F-350, 4WD, Power stroke, Auto trans, Four Door, XLT Lariat Longbed. It has Leather interior, tinted windows, CD player, 5th wheel, aluminum wheels, 2-tone paint, yada yada yada... I am going to use it to tow a 11,000LB toyhauler (with Jeep) and for work. It is in good shape with a couple of minor dings and the obligatory paint chips.
It's got 107,000 miles and they are asking $25,000.

So whaddya think? Is this a good rig? Any inherent probs with this cambio casa? Is the price in the ballpark?

 That seems like a lot of miles... I bought a 99.5 F350 SRW CC SB one year ago with 40K miles. I paid $26,200 for it. A year later and it's up to 55K miles.

I'd check KBB and/or Edmunds to see what they suggest the value might be.

FWIW: Ford warrants that motor for 100K miles.

What does the SB in your message stand for?

Yes - it does. It used to be mine.

And yes that price is too much for a truck with that many miles. I would not expect to pay more than $21,000 or so for that around here.

Is it a dealer? $22 to $23 grand would not be that far out of line in this area.:smokin:

Unless you are paying cash, I would look at new at 0%. You might have to get a stripped down truck but is is cash.

If you finance a used truck at that price, you got to add on 4-5k in interest and that will put you at what I paid for my new 02 PSD.
