It would be kinda tough to brake one side with a spool.

I was saying kinda tough as in impossible. Will not work if you have a true spool. Some people believe it can be done OK with an autolocker.

cutting brakes are not parking brakes. you need a different set-up for a parking brake.

You could use them on the front axle if your not locked. :D Not sure why you would want that.:shaking: You could buy a line lock and all 4 wheels could be locked.

Drew Goldie's old comp rig ran this set-up, rear high-9, spool, cutting brakes. The cutting brake was plumbed to lock both rears. It can still front dig pretty good, depending on what type of ground you're on.

Right now i am running this set-up for a long time now and like it. I run a 14 bolt spooled. I ran my brake line right next to my seat and used a 1/4 turn valve then to both rear brakes. My front Digs are pretty good. It is not as good as individaul cutting brakes and a ARB, but hey it works for me.

I have the same set up and it works purdy good for what wheeling I do. Your not going to be turning on a dime like some of the rock rigs with twin cutting brakes and selectable, but it pretty nice in tight situations!!!
Good luck
