Any of you have a lifted dually running 38" or larger tires? I want to run 38" Super Swampers all around my 77 chevy Dually, but don't know if it will work. Where can I get the right wheels and how much for some simple, steel wheels that will work for the 38x12.5x16.5 Swampers? Thanks

I am doing the same thing to mine.I was also thinking the 38/12.50 would work.Or else the Q78s.These are 35.5/10.5.The 38.5/11 boggers could work but for on the street towing it could be annoying.Blazin

Guy at a local shop has a 80s dually on 39x15 mickeys. I'll try to stop in and see how he set it up.

If I keep the tires 37" or smaller, I will run duallies. Otherwise, I will just run some single 40's or bigger all around. Please do let us know how your buddy has his setup. Thanks

I had friend that lifted an 83 4 door dually. His had 10" of lift with 13x38x16 TSL's on factory steel wheels.
He bought a 3" spacer from a company called Arrow ... somthing that makes dually conversion kits for single rear wheel trucks. The spacer was really nice, super heavy duty. He installed his spacer BETWEEN the rear tires to prevent them from rubbing together. It had a lot of space between the tires so a 2" might have been better.
He 4 wheeled with it HARD and never had any problems with it. You can see a picture of the truck through my web site, go to my Home page and click on the Web Shots link at the bottom. The picture is in an album called Friends Trucks.
go look at michelins
11.00r16s would work and last way beyond what several sets of swamps would
and they come from the factory ROUND and balanceable
