So I picked up a Sammy a few weeks ago and it has a 6" TT lift with the missing link and old man emu springs and they are wider than stock and they seem very stif just driving it around town so I would like to know what cheap leaf springs work good so I can swap them out, as it is very tall for only having 33" tires the bottom of the frame rail is 21"

stock set of YJ springs?
stock YJ's are as soft as leafs get. the aftermarket (OME, rubicon express, rancho, etc) jeep springs are too stiff for light samurais, though many have fallen for the temptation.

YJs are very flexy, but skys the limit. yjs, xjs, toyota, ranger, chevys, dakotas, depends if your looking for some more wheelbase to ive ran xjs and liked them im currently just put rangers in havent got to try em yet.
Run what you want.

do a shackle reversal on the front, I bet what your talking about stiff is the bucking you get when you hit a bump.
but I'll tade my stock yj springs for yours, I'm in the process of putting a 4.3 in mine.

looks like you already have the hardware for YJ's TDbronco, that's why i bothered mentioning it.

really cool looking rig. are the rivets painted on? what detail.
well, some flat springs would be softer than arched ones. other than that I couldn't tell you, a shackle reversal does sound pretty good though.

Hey check out this thread (http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=656732). It has alot of leaf spring options along with measurements, might be worth it to take a look :smokin:
