Hey guys, if you do the ebay thing, watch out for "metalhipman" who is from the Muncie, IN area.

I bought a set of rims from him which he listed as being 16.5x10, which is what I want. After I got home and was unloading them, I put the other 16.5x10 rim I already had beside it and found out they were in fact only 8" wide.

I emailed him about it immediately to see what he would do to make it right. I suggested I would meet him again, another 3 hour one-way drive for me, to undo the deal for just the original agreed on price.

He wrote back, saying I measured wrong and to check again.

I did, along with taking a few digi-pics and sending them to him.

Then, still saying they were 10" wide, said that I must have just changed my mind and decided I needed 12" rims.

After that, I told him I would still meet him, but this time at a tire shop. Have the tire shop measure the rim and if they were really 10" I would give him $20 and leave.

NO REPLY TO THAT.....

Anyway, I can't take him to small claims court because I have no receipt for them and I also don't know his name, other than Bryan from Gaston, IN.

So, I'm very much stuck with them.

Just an FYI heads up thing....watch out for this guy.....

Review what he wrote on his auction. If he didn't deliver what was said on the auction then contact ebay and they'll deal with the punk.

It usually takes about 3 weeks for them to take care of it and they'll let you know how it goes.

Later.

File a complaint with ebay, he didn't sell you a 10" rim so you are more than justified to get your money back. I had something just like that happen to me where they misquoted a measurement, after I filed a complaint he sent me my money back, guess they threatened to close his account or something.
