A friend gave me this t-case out of a CJ. He doesn't know what it is but the numbers on the tag are 300596-130 5359089. Can someone identify this t-case by these numbers. Thanks, Casey

Well there are 3 choices. M18, M20 or D300. What year CJ? What does the bolt pattern look like? If it looks a little like texas and has a centered rear out put it is a M20. If it has the texas bolt pattern and a passenger side output then its a M18. If it has a perfectly round bolt pattern and a centered rear out put its a D300.

Rockslut,
You forgot one, which it is.
It's a Borg-Warner Quadra-trac. Also known as a boat anchor in most parts. Some people run them with success.
Probably without Low Range.

Oh, and :flipoff2: :flipoff2: to the newbie who didn't post a description or picture of the fawking t-case

Grendel,
I guess you don't know as much as you think you do. I finally got to see the t-case and it's a Dana 20, not a Quadra-trac like you claimed it was. I couldn't take a picture because A) I don't have a digital camera and B) The case wasn't here...my buddy read the numbers to me over the phone. I'm still at Newbie status because I do more actual "wheeling" than I do "computer wheeling". Get off the computer and go do something. So Grendel.... :flipoff2: :flipoff2: ...you're the fawkin' newbie in the real world.

Dude you need to take what you got on the newbie bashin. He was right on... Your post didn't have enough info for anyone to really identify the thing. Your buddy could have described it to you, given you the bolt pattern, what year the jeep was, etc.

Oh and BTW: Welcome (lurking) newbie :flipoff2: (Hint... a little newbie bashing is normal... whining about it will only get you more :D )
