need help identifing a set of ford axles and frame. its covered with snow right now so I can get a look at it yet but a friend picked up somebodies franken truck he needed the fenders for his chevy but when he picked the parts truck up he was told the cab (chevy) was sitting on a f 250 frame from the 80's it is leaf sprung and a solid front not ttb??? I thought they were all ttb was solid axle a option? it is 8 bolt but he is sure its not a d60 but that is all I know as it is in the back of a field with snow up to the hood gas tank is at the back not side tank so I just wondered if it sounds familiar to anyone here. I am thinking of building the frame up then putting my bronco body on it. if it was special order with a hd dana 44 what would the rear axle be? any help would be great
thanks

No 80's 3/4 ton Ford came with a solid front. Did you say its a chevy body on an f250 frame? Are you sure its not a chevy?

Only F350 from the 80s have solid front axle, but that would be a 60. Sure it's not from the 70s? 77.5-79 had rear tanks. Sure it's even a Ford? PICTURES!

Well, if it's a 8 bolt solid axle and it's not a 60, then it doesn't really leave many options besides a 44.

Yeah, I thought about putting that in, but a 10 bolt and 44 are very much the same.
