In the process of planning my garage, and I'm trying to figure how close I can put the building next to the neighbors fence. Set backs are 7' side and back. How much room would you give to park an enclosed trailer between a fence and the building. I was planning on 16' to give myself some give, would you give more or less room.
Here's what it looks like in sketchup. (it won't load. I can send it to anyone that cares.)
Thanks

as long as that gives you room to back your trailer in.
Is it a straight shot or will you be backing around the corner of the garage.
would you also be able to get a longer trailer in if you go bigger at sometime.
run off from the roof won`t flow onto the other property ??

does your enclosed trailer have a side door? if so do you want to be able to open it in the parking space? how wide is your trailer?
I would suggest that you put up some stakes and try to put the trailer in the space and see if it is something you would be willing to live with. Something else to consider is the roof overhang.. is your trailer tall enough to hit the roof?

The SketchUp file won't load, but you can export a jpg image and post that.

RV pad I spec'd for the house I bought is 15ft wide from the wall of the garage. Setback is 5 feet and there's about 25 ft from the property line to the garage.

The fence on the right runs another 40 feet to the street.

Should give you more than enough room. Figure the trailer is what 8-8.5 ft wide? That gives you 4 feet walking space on each side. I just went with 15ft cause it was a nice even number
Don't know the codes were you live, but here you can put whatever in the setback as long as it's not a building... so paving right up to the prop. line would be ok.

I figured, my current enclosed is 24 ft long and 8.5 wide with a side door, anything I replace it with will be bigger. I needed to make it so someone could park a boat there(if/when I move), since the ramp is 2 blocks away and everyone in the neighborhood has a boat.

I would say yes try to keep that 16 feet there..
I have 14 feet from building to fence and it is plenty big.. you can see my truck with camper in this pic.. of course I was parked a little close to building for this pic

jeepbeater the only thing I would change on your sketch is the opening at the street. I'd make it as wide as possible so you can pull straight out and back in without being crowded by the drive entrance.
