I am almost done putting my 87 5.0 back into the Bronco after a rebuild, and have one wiring harness connector that I can't find a place for. It has two wires going into it, one green, and one black with white stripe. Based on its lenght and location, it should go within 12 inches of the rear of the intake manifold. The shape of the interior part of the plug is round with just the two prongs inside.

This section of the harness comes out of the main wiring harness in the very middle of the firewall, and also has an orange wire with a washer like end on it for grounding.

So, anybody got a 5.0 they can take a look at?

Appreciation guaranteed. <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">

Is this a truck 5.0 or a Mustang 5.0? I just looked at my Mustang, and didn't see anything like that.

Thanks for looking. It is a truck 5.0, though.

Anybody got a truck? Or am I down to my last hope of cruising the Safeway parking lot asking strangers to open their hoods for me. <IMG SRC="smilies/blush2.gif" border="0">

On my 90 'stang engine, there's a round connector with the same colour wires that mates to a sensor on the intake manifold. Looks like either a water temp or oil pressure sensor. Anyway, it's near the front on the driver's side, sticking up out of the lower manifold.

Was the wire a Green/w black stripe?
I was looking through my schematics and couldnt find a solid green wire ,and Black/white wire. But the knock sensor is Green/black and Black/white.
