My wife and I are flying into Florida to visit my dad in Dade City for a few days, and then we were planning to rent a car and drive down to the key's for 3 or 4 days of just relaxing.

Here's what I know so far....Flying in to Florida Feb 20, planning to stay with my dad through the weekend and cruising south on Monday Feb 23rd, would plan to stay Monday, tuesday, and wednesday night, drive back north to fly home Thursday.

That's it that's all I know. Just looking for some advice, we are willing to spend a little cash as we figure it wont be cheap to stay but we'd like something nice, not some roach hotel.

Anyone been? Where should we head, where should we stay away from?

Food, sights, lodging, things to do, what would you suggest?

:smokin:

if it helps we are both 24 but aren't much for the college spring break party type stuff. We'd rather kick it somewhere slow and a little more private and drink beer (well bitch drinks for her).

With the lack of tourist money, most all the hotels have vacancies. Key Wesat will probably be the most expensive. If you stay in Key Largo you can save some money, get a decent room, and spend a day in Key West itself w/o spending a lot of mula on the rooms.
You could also stay in Key west for a day, and then go to up the chain and stay somewhere els.
