Sure, Lock-Rights are decent. But your 10-bolt isn't.

ya, ive heard and read alot about the 10 bolt stuff, but i dont lay on the throttle alot and im not rock climbing. just trail riding and some mudding. And right now, not going bigger than a 36 ish tire.

the 10 bolt will hold just fine for me, just wondering what the lock right is like. hes asking for like 185 for it i think

I had a Lock-Right in the front D35 of my old Ranger. It worked for what I needed.

I will also tell you that I managed to grenade a 10-bolt with 31's on pavement, so good luck with the 36's.

i had one in my 44 with 38's and it held with a mild bb ford. then i went to 42' (i know, i know thats way lame) it still held but the shafts broke constantly. my buddy had one in a 60 with a healthy 400. it was just fine till he left one hub in for 45 miles yup, that toasted it. the one in the 60 had pretty decent sized teeth in it. good luck with the 10 bolt, it will last till it breaks quickly even with ONLY 36's.......:flipoff2:

Good lockers for the money get a 12 bolt. The 10 bolt is going to blow.

I have rant a F10 Bolt and 33's with a lock right for about 5 years. It is a Hunting, Camping, etc. type truck. No rocks with it and I have only broke one cheap u-joint. The locker didn't even let go when I did that.

So I say for small daily driver type stuff run it.

I just sold one for a 10 bolt that had many many miles on it

They are tough and very effective. I think they usually are at least as strong as what they are going in. I would not hesitate to buy another.

had one in a 12 bolt and a 44... On the 12 bolt, it caused the pinion nut to loosen several times and the pinion ate up the carrier. On the 44, would always break both inner shafts right at the end of the splines. In both cases, the lock right was never damaged. Seem pretty tuff but a cheap fix always ends up costing you more. Horrible on the road if you ask me.. IMO anyways..which dont amount to sh#$

I don't see any way the Lock Right could cause a pinion nut to come loose. Sounds like your nut was worn out. You're supposed to get a new one each time although noone does

Yours was horrible on the street because you are probably a throttle jockey or your tires had different rollout. If both tires are the same, and you ease on and off the gas, you can't even tell it's there

I've had five of the things now, 3 in rears 2 in fronts. No complaints

Tire roll out was the same...I checked several times to make sure it operated fine. Was easy on the throttle for sure, but think maybe being a manual put more stress on it. Could very well have had a shotty pinion nutt, but nothin ever broke till the lockers were installed. But like I said, a good well made lunchbox locker, other stuff will break long before it does is what I was aiming for...
