The National Off-Road Association (NORA) has just issued (2) Action Alerts.

The first Alert addresses the most recent issue regarding water quality on the Rubicon Trail. The second Alert is in regards to Red Rock Canyon State Park in California.

Please Take Action on these two items. Visit www.nora-usa.com, then click on the TAKE ACTION icon in the toolbar. Taking Action is easy and takes less than 30 seconds.

If anyone has questions regarding these more recent Action Alerts, please call Pearse Umlauf at (530) 333-1487, ext. 3.

If you have a legit question WRT to NORA's action alert, it might be more effective to contact Pearse directly... making a correction here feels a little like handwriting a correction into a newspaper at the library... it would be more effective to contact the editor and get a correction written.

Tried calling Pearce at the above number, No answer. No question needed,
If sombody can, Just relay the fact that the plan is on temporary hold.
Have him contact Plan Manager Russ Digman 661-726-1672

Im sure
this does not sit well with our tree hugger buddies... as they want the entire
park shut down to OHVs. As we well know, these "plans" help do just that.

Russ suggested that the OHV contiune to submit comments on this issue. At some point funding will be re-allocated for this project. NORA is supporting this Action Alert in direct response to CBD's alert to close trails on within Red Rock Canyon (issued Jan. 23).

Our phones in Georgetown were on/off the past few days because of poor weather.
