I figured i would post up some pics. need to finish some things and come up with the dough for the hydro steer but heres whats done so far. 396 on propane, turbo 350, 203/205 doubler, custom alcan 52 inch spring with orbit eyes in both ends, rocks with 49 inch xl's on 5 ton beadlocks with rock centers and a 124 inch wb

And i got a question for you guys with rocks. I have searched and searched and i cant figure out which hydro steer to go with.. Double ended front and rear like the Psc kit for a balanced system or run single ended front ram and electric pump and single ended rear for the cheapo way.. Any guys actually running this i would love your advice..And yes guys i have searched but there is no definate answer that i have found for my question so flame away if you must.. :mad3: Thanks..

not sure if this will help out or not---unitl i had the mulah i went the cheap route and ran single rams front and rear. I used a stock pump and running 49's sure its not the fastes turning but i had no problems.

If you can afford it, then run the doubled ended PSC stuff. If not, then just run the single ended ram and see how you like it & if you need be upgrade later on when you have the money.

I'd run a double end in the front and single in the rear. Definetly recomend PSC, great stuff.

I am going to run double ended on the front and rear. I already had a PSC ram (8 inch throw) and will run that on the rear axle. I bought a Surplus Center ram for the front (10 inch throw), they are a lot cheaper than PSC and have the same specs.

Here is a picture of my rear axle, the ram will be in the front and the brakes in the back...

Thanks for the info guys. As far as running single ended rams.. I know that going that route is an unbalanced system so how large of a reservoir are you using.. to control all the displaced fluid.

Before my rockwell swap I had 2 steering D44's, Double ended ram up front, and a single ended in the back. All of if was PSC stuff. The single ended ram worked fine, I really dont know what you mean by "unbalanced". The system is plumbed in series, pump to rear valve to front valve to reservoir. The only reason I am using a double ended ram on the rear this time is because its stronger... And as far as a reservoir, I just have the standard PSC one.
