: Who will have an engine hoist at KOH?
Roxywheels 02-13-2009, 04:11 PM And would be willing to let us borrow it for part of a day? :D I have offers of people willing to bring theirs but I hate to have someone haul one out if there is already one there that we could borrow. Thanks in advance! :roxy:
edit: I guess I should add that its to pull a Cummins :D
Gonna need a GOOD one to do that...........WHY?
Roxywheels 02-13-2009, 05:16 PM Gonna need a GOOD one to do that...........WHY?
Why? Because we are doing a favor for JT Taylor and hauling a truck back to Colorado for him. If the engine can get pulled, then we only need to haul that and Robert can bring his rig along to wheel while he is home for R&R from Iraq. So, I have people willing to help pull the engine, I just need to make sure we have a hoist. :roxy:

Any normal folding engine hoist is gonna be hard pressed to lift a CTD;)

You might be surprised how much they won't lift. 2 men and a couple hundred pounds most of the time.

Understand the Cummins 6BT weighs in excess of 1000 pounds. Hope you have a piece of plywood or high floatation engine hoist wheels to lift that bad boy.
Oh, and JR won't be the only horn player in camp. His brother (me, another JR) and his nephew Matt Reynolds will be in camp. I don't think John will have time for horn trios!
regards, as always, Jeff Reynolds (JR#1)
brother of John Reynolds(JR#5), Jim Reynolds(JR#3), Jerry Reynolds(JR#2).
Too many JR's floatin' around here. John hates it when I bring this up.

I can bring mine; it has a telescoping arm, on wheels, and legs that spread for that firm Lift. I can throw it on the trailer after all I will be pitting with Brian and JT anyways. Let me know I will be there Tue morning early

Hey another JR here! Justin Reece
I recon a piece of wood or just rollin the truck out of the way will be no issue. You can't go wrong pulling a CTD on the lake bed come awn!
Roxywheels 02-19-2009, 07:37 AM Remember, in this case the truck and be cut to pieces to help get the engine out. :roxy:
