I figured it would be a good idea to post up and let you guys know what we are up to behind the scenes.
We are writing position letters on all the Travel Management Plans for the National Forest, letters to BLM & State Parks and all of it regards the importance of motorized access for the disabled to the backcountry.
However we aren't looking for any special pass or anything, we want to hang with all our friends abled & disabled alike.

Here is a bit from a meeting we had with Apache Seagraves National Forest at a recent open house, it was great and eveyone had a blast.

Here ya go...

Many folks might not realize that a good portion of what we do is behind the scenes presentations, letter writing, phone calls and more.

We had a wonderful opportunity to spend time with the National Forest folks at Apache Seagraves outside Springerville, Arizona when they recently held an open house event. Lucky for us it was held on a Friday afternoon which meant we could turn the long drive from Phoenix into a weekend campout.

I was wonderering if your org. has encountered road closures by the national forests that will not commit to any leniancies or exceptions for the disabled for any instance, in fact the Eldo Nf refuses to abide by or even hear any exceptions for the disabled. for an example the 25 ft road center law for vehicles and campsites.

I know this sounds like it favors the disabled but it could lead into a complete dismissal of that rule

There are probably several disabled in the sacramento area that would be interested in this
