Hey guys a couple questions ( if you don't mind )...

Well I've have most newer 4x4s, and the transfer case shifter has always had a 2wd drive option... Well my 1979 Blazer doesn't... It has 4lo...4hi.. and N. So my question is from 4x4 to 2wd, would I unlock the hubs, and put the Transfer case shifter in the N postion for 2wd?

Also, the truck is a little different than the newers as in the shifter reads
" HI Loc - HI - N - LOW - LOW LOC " In that order... no "4x4 low " What is the difference between Hi and Hi Loc and Low and Low Loc?

I just dont understand it lol.. Thanks so much for your time

You have a fulltime np203.

This is a newbie section question.

It's answered, who cares. Just saying try the newb section.

You have a FULLTIME NP203

It has no 2wd, hence FULLTIME

If you put it in neutral, it will not move.

Unlocking yours hubs is as close as you get.

The Hi-loc, Low loc is because there is a differential in the t-case, much like and open diff. Loc is just what it says, a locker for the t-case.

Unlock your hubs, Put the T-case in Hi. That is your 2wd. The 203 was originally a full time only T-case, someone has changed your hubs and hopefully your t-case gear so that you have a sorta part time conversion.
