I'm supposed to pick up my company truck tomorrow. I found out someone screwed up and ordered the truck without cruise control. I didn't think that would be a big deal and that I'd just have the dealer add it on. I'm told the new trucks are "locked" from programming things like this into the drive by wire. (One more reason I'd never buy a new truck again myself.) They are telling me that there is no way to add cruise control to the truck. Anyone know of a good aftermarket cruise control or if this dealer is just not wanting to do a factory kit for some reason?

we have had a few "kits" put on they look real chinsy and do work. ziebart around here does them. my regular supplier thats puts the add on cruise on for us says the new style kit should be out around march here, it is a plug and play. btw we pay $425 installed for the cheapos and the new ones are around $600
