i have a 86 720 and am thinking about swaping in a ka24de, i thought i read somewere that doing a ka24de was not recomended, but to do a ka24e instead. do any of you know why? in swaping to a ka series i know i need the donor harnes, but would i need the donor tranny as well? or can i use my z24 one? anyone have any knowledge of the turbo 1.8 or any other turbo motors that i can swap in? thanks

Do some research and see if a SR20DET or CA motor will work. I run a sr20det in my 240sx and for stock its very ballsy. 210hp @ 7 psi factory. But is what is the issue of why they say not to use a KA24de? Fitment? wireing?

Dont fuck around with a ka truck motor, Just buy a SR20 or a CA18, If you have more cash do a RB25, I have a RB25 in my S14. Great motor other than going threw coil packs every month.
