Nice looking halibut.

What is the top picture? Is it a dressed bear?

Whatever it is, it's carrying some serious fat.

Looks like a 50-60 lb butt there. Perfect eat'n size. big enough for cheeks too, did you get em? My biggest was 147#. Cheek was HUGE. Best damn thing I ever tasted.

That aluminum cabin is SICK too. Super sick boat!

That's a BFH in that bear, what the hell were you using

I'm ready for spring bear, but I doubt any will be out till later in the season (~may 10th ??). Last year we had so much snow I only hunted a couple of times, needed a fawking snowmobile above 4K feet until mid June :shaking:.

That pic of the fat is the sow in the first pic I was by myself on shore and could not drag her ass to the boat so I rolled her into the water and waited for the tide to come in maxed out a 350 lb scale kept on the boat.

The halibut was 72lbs the odd thing was I caught it trolling for silvers I had my line at the 30 foot mark but there was over 160 feet of water under me when I hooked that halibut I managed to get it in on 20lb test line and a light rod, did'nt know what it was doing 130 feet off the bottom until we cut it open, there was a whole 6lb salmon in its belly.

Anyone have any pictures from down south bear, dear, elk. How about some of those big catfish or stripers?

I took that sow with a .300 remington ultra mag I was able to take four bears last year I managed to get a bear with both my pistol and bow as well, they won't give out permits for spear hunting though.

From the hunting regs in an area I hunt bears its less than an hour from my house so its pretty handy:

Cubs and females with cubs may be taken; there is no limit to the number of black bears taken by an idividual permittee.

We caught this one on a jug this weekend. Not real big, 15 to 20 lbs.
