sold my blazer and have this beater 76 that serves as a work truck. will be getting a new work truck soon and am debating weather to build this or get another blazer and swap over all my drivetrain (3/4 ton, new trannie, etc) what do you guys think? i mostly wheel in sand, mud and snow but i do hit the trails up in the trees too.

I used to wheel my 71 3/4 ton. some trails got pretty tight but my problem was always space. when I build a new fullsize its gonna be a blazer for sure to carry more people but that might not be an issue for you.

I am in the middle of parting out my 74 long bed, I went back to a blazer for a trail rig but I like the rocks and dunes.

if you aer mostly looking at sand and mud a longbed will be favorable due to the length giving you lateral stability (it won't get ass happy and come around on ya) but if you are going to take it on more trails them maybe a shortbed or a blazer would be better

I wheel in a 73 Chevy Longbed.I mostly do mud and sand with some trails.The only problem I have is truning around in small place.

Cut it down and put on a shortbox!

I do a lot of 9 piont turns too.That will soon be taken care of with a cross over steering and a realy short flat bed.
