I need to get more clearance between my radiator and water pump to fit a electric fan. I have a '72 350 in a FJ40 and was thinking about swapping to a short pump to gain clearance.

How much shorter is the pump compared to the long style and what kind of pulley swapping needs to be done?

Try making your electric fan a pusher instead of a puller, then you don't have to worry about changing the punp.

I found the info in case anyone is interested. The short pump is 1 3/8" shorter than the long pump and I need to change the pump and crank pulleys. Thats enough extra to fit the fan I want run.:cool:
