So I have a problem I was hoping you guys could help me out. My truck seems to as of yesturday developed grimlins. My passenger door window stopped working, the heated seat, the pass side mirror, the radio fails to stay on after the truck is turned off and all the preset seat settings aren't being stored. The dealership says it the master door controller on the drivers side but I don't know how that would be affect the radio and electric heated passenger seat.
Any ideas on what fueses to pull and look at they say that they didn't find any fuses out, but it sure seems like it would be a fuse problem.
Thanks
Jeremy

take the side panel off of the driver side of the dash (fuse panel door) and make sure all of the plugs are tight. Those go into your door for all of the controls. Has your door panel been taken off? Does your switch panel in the door seem to be falling into the door? That makes the connections come apart. That would be the switch panel seperating.

my door panel has been taken apart a few times and the switch panel is seperating. Sometimes my back doors didn't unlock when I hit the alarm. I fixed the panel and they work every time now. I had some electric steps installed and had some other problems with in-the-door functions and traced it to the door control harnesses in the sides of the dash. They are in both sides of the dash.

Finally fixed the problem, after tearing the whole door apart and doing lots of research. I wasn't convinced that the problem I was having was 100% door panel issues. I went back to the dealership and convinced them into letting me talk to the cheif mechanic. He said he didn't beleive that the problem was the door control panel. He suggested I put the whole thing back together and see if it works, if not un plug both batteries and hold the positive and negative together for 10 seconds to pull all the remaining power out of the resisters. Neways I did that and bingo it works perfectly. He said that this happens more than we think and alot of time we replace parts which just like a computer need to be reset.
He also said if disconnect didn't work that they would hook up the truck to a computer and do a re-boot and up date the software.
Just thought you guys would like to know, this could have cost me about 1500 bucks, I wonder if they would have tried the disconnect or would they just see me comming and want my money.

good info. I hread of doing that reset a Dodge truck. I hadn't heard the reasoning behind why. I am going to try that next time my truck doesn't like to unlock.

Good info, keep track of the battery condition too, a bad battery will make these GM electronics do funky things too. Right now one of my 06' D-Max's has a failing battery and the clock will reset itself intermittenly when starting.
