I have a Mac Tools AW335 3/8'' Impact Gun, plain and simple it has no ass anymore. This thing just doesn't have the torque it used to. I called Mac and the lady said they only cover this under a one year warranty, is this true? I don't even have a local Mac distributor around here anymore so they wanted me to mail it in for repair to the tune of 125 bucks. Any thoughts on this?

Spend the $125 to have a great gun thats like new or better than new or spend the same at Harbor Frieght for a lesser gun.
Price is right with other major tool outfits, it cost me that to repair a Snap On 3/8 Impact about a year ago.

None of the tool dealers have a lifetime warranty on air tools.

That's a pretty premo 3/8ths impact so I'd probably pay the $125 but not until I flushed about a gallon of solvent through it to make sure it's not just gummed up. I'm not really sure why you need a 200+ft/lb 3/8ths impact that costs $200+ new when the cheapest India made 1/2 impact has that kind of power and costs $13 but I use a twenty year old 3/8ths Rockwell as much as my 3/8th IR butterfly so if you like it have at it. If you decide you don't like it any more after spending $125 you can probably get $150 or more for it on the bay.

I have a Mac 1/2" impact with a compostie body. Bought it about two and a half years ago. First time it broke was the first or second time I used it. They warranty repaired it at no cost. Second time it broke was past the one year warranty. I had to pay the $125 to have it rebuilt. I have an old heavy Mac impact I bought over 20 years ago. It has never failed. My Mac dealer at the time acknowledged that the Mac brand impacts had problems. He pushes Ingersol Rand instead. My newer impact is still working but I will never buy another Mac impact gun again.

I'm not gonna lie i bought this thing for a steal anyway
I got a snap on 1/2'' impact gun, mac air die grinder 90 degree,ch air chisel, and this impact gun all for 60 bucks so I am not hurt by any means but I do like using this gun so i will probably try and clean it up and if that doesn't fix it i will send it in.
thanks for the help though. If I had to buy one new i would get a Ingersoll Rand or Cornwell
