I am shopping for a new tool chest and was looking for something 50"+ wide and looking just for the cart. I was looking at the HF chest here http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=94496 and I found another company called Proworks, I liked this cart better as it is drawers in the whole cart rather than having a cabinet. Anyone heard of them or have any experince with them? This is all I could find:

Seems like a decent price but I know usually you get what you pay for, hoping maybe this is an exception:eek:

They look like Internationals. I had the 56" International top & bottom and paid $1,600 for it. I have seen them for $1,400 lately, shipping included.
Mine was Chinese made. Nice box for the bucks.
Search this site http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/ several threads on the subject.

I was looking at the Proworks boxes, but in the end decided to go with a higher end box. I have not seen one in person, but from the pics they looked very similar to the HF boxes which are good.

I would not buy from Devil Dog. I wanted to look at the Proworks boxes since he's local to me, and I was looking at one of his electrical test kits. No response to my emails or phone calls. I finally gave up. Very poor service.

Doesn't Sears sell Craftsman stainless boxes that size for around that price?

Edit: I can't check right now, Sears is down for maintenance, and I can't find the tool catalog, but I think they are around 1400-1600... I liked to get one :D

That's an International box. I have one, no complaints really. Search for international under my username, I did a write up on it.

Check out the Extreme Tools boxes also. You can get them from strictlytoolboxes.com. Seem to be well built for the money.

That cabinet on the harbor freight box seems like a big waste of space to me. I have the 42" harbor freight box and love it. You can find them for sale in store for under $400. If You have the room I would much rather have 2 42" boxes for the same price as the 52" box.

I had not considered that, great point!

The bigger box is deeper but really doesn't have that many more cubic inches of tool storage. If that box didn't have the stupid cabinet i'd be really interested in it. I think I'm just going to pick up another 42" box as my current 42" box is full.
