i'll share the deal with pbb. .223's are for sure 7.62x39 are maybe's

Armsofamerica.com is having a shipment of Saiga .223's coming in on monday. linky (http://armsofamerica.com/firearms/saigarifles.html)

i ordered the Saiga .223 with a 20" barrel. the are $399 plus shipping.

not exactly sure how many are going to be in stock, but, i'm assuming they are getting at least the 16" and 20" barrels in more than just .223

I know not much about the guns themselves, but, haven't heard horrible things

and I know they have got 3 at least that were ordered and now canceled

my ffl guy i was going to go thru, said that these would be in a 'grey' area CA law. although they are imported by an acceptable company RRA, because they are made at the same factory as the AK's, they 'could' decide and enforce the ban on these, although they are not currently banned.

fawk. i've got to cancel my order for the 2 i got now, since none of the ffl guys in the area will deal with it.

Pete (aloharover) do you know any ffl guy up here that will do the transfer? (up here being Petaluma or within 50 miles)

400 is not a good price for these.

are they a bad gun??

i figure, $400 for something that's actually in stock though is better for something that's $800 that you've gotta wait 6 months or more for for some people.

what would a good price for these be?

I personally love my saiga .223, but then again I spent around $250 out the door for it.

if you look around, you can order online for $340ish, when these first hit the market they were $220, they are good guns, just prices suck now days.

exactly my point.

nothing is the price it used to be.

and when i was looking before, not a single one of the places that had it shown for $350 had them in stock or even knew if they were ever getting them in stock again in the forseable future.

The gun shop on Redwood Road in Castro Valley will do it. A buddy of mine had them handle the transfer for his Saiga 7.62x39 20" back in December.

Most of the places online selling the Saiga refuse to deal with California. You might be able to find it cheaper, but anything under $500 is still a good deal here since the cheaper places tend to stay away from Cali. Even a lot of the gun shops here won't sell the Saiga even though there is nothing illegal about it.
