see man land of no fun, i lived out in wyoming for a year and had a blast all state and fed land was open as long as you stayed on the trails it was great. Miss it cant wait to move back.

The problem is the 4wheel drive com. is to small to fight the for anything, its just like the hunting com. as well, right now we are worried about losing a piece of land that we hunt on to greenies. and the only reason is because someone said it was public land in a hiking book, so now there are a million hikers up there compaired to the ten hunters guess who wins. To make matters worse the dam atv and dirt bike guys that have riden the property for years are now also losing because of the tree huggin hippies because they say the are ruining the hiking trails, that shouldnt be there anyways because its not public property. Its always the few that get screwed. The big problem is when the few people in our sport that go out and tresspass on state or private property make us all look bad. Its usually some dumb kid too that just got a stock jeep for their 16th Bday and not even someone that knows anything about driving offroad. but thats life, the few that fuck up ruin it for the even fewer that are doin the right thing. If we all did the right thing then the greenies wouldnt have the ammo to take stuff away from us. and if they tried we could have something to fight back with.

i don't like the fact that i am breaking the law on state property but the trails were there long before me and the state does no maintenance in the state forests.i have been wheeling for a long time and i didn't build my truck to hang out in a strip mall.

i wouldn't come to your state and trespass on state land,i don't pay taxes there.unlike Connecticut,you have private parks to wheel at as well as i assume,your state probably has some type of OHV system in place.which i would have no problem with paying a fee for either. in your state,mine,or any other.

as for your fight,remember this day when you find yourself with no where to wheel,fish,hunt,ETC.

theres limited wheelin, but there are places to go, property owners to talk to

i go on the powerlines, but after talking to the local linemen, as long as its an area that isnt used and isnt refurbushed, newly constructed, ect, no worries

i stay away from trespassing and there is a freshly re done area of lines which they would be mad if i tore up, but theres no reason to go there, no obstacles

i also dont litter, have fires, and i try to pick up trash while im out there
