I know the TJ's and the XJ's got automatics behind the 2.5.

Yep, there's some 3 spd auto 4 cyl's out there :)

YJ's, TJ's, XJ's, MJ's all had 2.5L with automatic options. My 2.5L YJ runs an AW4 from a 2.5L XJ

Pretty decent, but it's not a bolt on swap. They only used the 2.5L AW4 from 87-89, so there is no factory flexplate for an FI 2.5/AW4 combo.
