I have a steering knuckle that someone drove a chisel into to separate it from a king pin and messed up the pad. The threads are ok around the damage and its a easy weld to get it built back up but it's awful close to 2 of the threaded bolt holes. If I get a round piece of copper, thread it and run it in would it be ok to weld right up to it and not mess things up ?
