However this weekend I was installing some Magnecor spark plug cables and noticed there wasnt a distributor cap and no cable for the coil. I assume this vehicle has a distributorless ignition system. PTSchram 08-26-2002, 10:33 AM They went to the GEMS system in late '95, early introduction of the '96 MY. There we a very few 1995 MY Discoveries with Gems, but by 1996, all of them were GEMS. I have a hard enough time figuring out how engines run without point, much less a distributor.
