Ive got a 1996 tahoe 4x4 and a month after i bought it i noticed trans fluid

coming out and a crack in the rear of the housing before the trans to

trasfercase adapter. So i went on ebay looking for a housing but noticed they

all say 4L60E case so what cases will work for my 96 tahoe and how can you

tell which one is what.

Im looking to buy a case or a good used tranny without the transfercase

That sure seems like alot of stress from weight on the rear of the tranny's

case is this a common thing to happen i didnt see any support for the

transfercase

Yeah, I spent some coin to have my 4L60E built to the hilt, and the case cracked when my divorced case fell out of it's crossmember.

I'm interested how tought it would be to swap cases, cuz then I could sell this thing for what it's worth.

Does it take a lot to just swap the housing?
