oh hell, now i'm going to post and hi-jack all in the same day

it was sitting in a guys yard for a couple years, so i got it for $50. spent as little as possible on it to get it to run and cut grass. everything was rigged, as most of the controls were rotted off. only had hi gear, forward, no brakes. if you tried anything else, the belts would get thrown off. motor had so little compression, i ran straight lucus oil instead of motor oil. even then, i had to stick a plastic bag in the intake to build up enough compression for the engine to spin.

mowed my 1 acre yard (and a deep ditch) for 6 months with that thing. since i only had hi gear, the ditch ended up being a ramp. i rolled it at least once every time i cut the grass. i actually had neighbors set up lawn chairs and coolers of beer once they heard it start backfiring (which was pretty often).

but eventually, i broke the rear axle in half

As for the giant black f650 with and airbag lift... it makes for a cool show truck but thats it.

some of you really need to figure out what a mall crawler is. A stock truck with some tires on it that has been abused offroad... definately not a mall crawler. a jeep with obviously useless leaf springs but obviously being used off road... not a mall crawler. And finally a ford explorer with a bit of lift and some bigger tires thats simply just a ford explorer and are seen on a daily basis. And F-650 lifted to the sky with very unproportioned tire to lift ratio now thats a fucking mall crawler.

i have and its was a blast. thrashed it, jumped it, rolled it and when i finally thought i had killed it i put a brick on the gas pedal and let her scream in neutral. without coolant or a fan it ran like that for 2 hours, the block was red hot. got tired of all the smoke and turned it off... and the thing started the next day like it always had. some stout 3 cylinders in all there 1 liter glory.

I used them because I needed a wider footprint so that it was more stable. 1/2 ton axles with anything over a 35" tire don't do well offroad. THIS IS NOT AN OFFROAD TRUCK! I drove the crap out of it EVERYDAY with those 1/2 ton axles and it never once broke. Where have you seen me claim that my truck is the biggest, most badass offroad truck out there? Where have you ever seen me claim that it does so awesome offroad. When have you ever heard me say such things? I know it sucks for offroad, but who fucking cares?! I didn't build it to go offroad. The body has been completely shaved/painted, and it has a fully fiberglassed interior. Who in thier right mind would take that offroad? The picture you all see there was when I had 46's on it. It now has 52's. When it was featured, on the cover by the way, in Mini Truckin' Magazine in Feb. '08, and featured in Truck Trends (a Japanese truck magazine) in Feb. It is not 4WD, but I did not build it to be an offroad truck. How many trucks have you seen that big that do any good offroad? Yes, I used only 1/2 ton axles. I used them because I needed a wider footprint so that it was more stable. 1/2 ton axles with anything over a 35" tire don't do well offroad. THIS IS NOT AN OFFROAD TRUCK! I drove the crap out of it EVERYDAY with those 1/2 ton axles and it never once broke. Where have you seen me claim that my truck is the biggest, most badass offroad truck out there? Where have you ever seen me claim that it does so awesome offroad. When have you ever heard me say such things? I know it sucks for offroad, but who fucking cares?! I didn't build it to go offroad. The body has been completely shaved/painted, and it has a fully fiberglassed interior. Who in thier right mind would take that offroad? The picture you all see there was when I had 46's on it. It now has 52's. When it was featured, on the cover by the way, in Mini Truckin' Magazine in Feb. '08, and featured in Truck Trends (a Japanese truck magazine) in Feb. '08 also, it had the 52's on it. When it was at SEMA, it had the 52's on it.

I built something that all of America, and even Japan, have seen. What have you done?! The only exposure your truck probably has had is your slideshow pictures on your MySpace. I'll be the absolute first person to admit that my truck isn't an offroad truck and that all it's good for is driving on the road and going to shows. So what? That's what I wanted, so that's what I built. If you don't like it, that's fine. I don't expect everyone to like what I built. There are a shit ton of people that do like it though. Looks like a crew shorty F150 with dualy 14 bolt in the rear and a junky IFS torsion bar crank with 6 lugs in front to complement the 8 lug rear. Prolly runs and shifts great without the VSS from the rear R&P too.

I don't think you could ever go wrong with more axles under a trailer... underloading them doesn't hurt them any at all. I'd like to have that trailer to haul around our little dozer! :D

Well it was sponsored by Weld Wheels when they where still in business and so the more axles the more wheels they could display, but yes the trailer is very over built it was more for show then anything but is fully capable of hauling just about anything. The rail had a TT rx7 motor and now has a TT LS7 and all were custom painted to match each other. He has more pics of his stuff he builds at thecustomshopvegas.com
