After reviewing CasaDiablo_South route designation map I see that under the proposed alternative that Wheeler Ridge trail has been designated "administrative use only".

Can anyone please comment on this as to what it means? I rode this trail last year and the views are spectacular. I'd hate to see it closed.

"Administrative Use" means that access is allowed for approved agency administrative functions. In general, "administrative access" means fire service road that is closed unless needed for emergency access.

In general, the preferred alternative for recreation is Alternative 6. It is not without faults. Overall, it is the most recreation friendly.

My advice is to craft your comments in general support of Alternative 6 and how it can be improved with specific route additions.

Wheeler Ridge is one that is a valuable recreation opportunity.
