its a universal did i get a good deal?
gunbroker had them for about 525 or so, so i figured i did ok.
Looks real good, stock is in great shape, and the action looks great.

Fun little guns. I use to shoot deer off of horse back with my fathers (ok, just one). I didnt have much of a problem with accuracy, but I also wasnt shooting very far.

At least it's a clean one, at least from what the pictures show!

For cali? Yeah, you scored. As an indication, I was contemplating selling my Inland here for $500 + and felt like I was throwing hamburger into a shark cage.

You have one of the later model Universals. You can tell because of the stamped charging handle. They are not the most desireable for collectors but if all you are gonna do is shoot it, you did okay. I have one of the early model universals with the mil-spec parts (supposedly) and I wouldn't sell it for $300. It's not as clean as yours.
