16 year old James Stewart is the 2002 AMA/Chevy Trucks U. S. Motocross 125cc Series Champion! And Ricky Carmichael continues his pursuit of the 'Perfect Season', winning both 250cc races!
125 class: James Stewart won his first ever professional title in tremendous fashion, sweeping both motos convincingly. He has nine overall wins with one event remaining in the series. Second overall went to Branden Jesseman, as he rode his Team Suzuki to finishes of second and fourth. Third overall went to Honda's Ernesto Fonseca with 3/5.
250 class: Ricky Carmichael has won 22 motos in a row. Every moto this season in the 250 class! At the final event of the series next weekend, he'll going for the 'Perfect Season'. Hard to comprehend just how unbelievable RC has been. Mike LaRocco had his best outdoor finish this year, running second in both motos to take second overall. Third overall went to Suzuki's Sean Hamblin with 4/4.
