Hello fellow jeepers,
I need some help. I am looking to buy the xenon 6" flat fenders for my 98 wrangler. I've called the guys at xenon and the guy I spoke to said they recommend having a bodyshop do the install. Has anyone bought these and installed them? Would you support the suggestion that I have a bodyshop do the install for me? I've got reasonable abilities and think I can install them without help, just thought I'd test the waters...thanks in advance....

you can easily do those yourself. just spray some pb blaster or an equivalent on the old nuts and bolts holding the current ones on and go to work. make sure you use a ratchet wrench or ratchet because you will be all day with regular wrench

They have to say that, cause they don't know what your abilities are.
Those guys deal with Bone Heads, and Wanna-be Wheelers all day, who regularly bring back stuff, claiming it was too hard to put on their Durango...
Just go for it!:smokin:

$500 for set of rubber flares,
Why not go tubes?
Or something thats going to add protection.
Here is the install instructions for the bushwacker flat fenders (http://www.quadratec.com/Assets/Installation/110005.pdf) read though and see if you can handle it.
Couldn't find xenon's instructions, But these are pretty much the same.
Might want to look at this. For Sale (http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=697331) Might save you a few dollars

Would like tube fenders, actually prefer steel to plastic, was just browsing through a few of the jeep mags I've got and saw adds for plastics, that and the plastics are a bit cheaper...

If you want to go with tubes, you should save and go that route, Why put $500 into something you don't really want.
You can get DIY tube fenders for $200.00 pay someone to weld them and your still coming out cheaper, I guess it depends on how you want it painted.
