Front Shackle Frame Eye Hangers. anybody installed any in a sas conversion?
any helpful tips or pictures that might help me install them?
what kinda bit should i use for the large hole? a hole saw?
where should i locate them at in the frame?
its an 84 chevy dually everything is done except these mounts. i also bought a set of 6 inch shackles. ty for any help

mount up the springs in the front and measure to see where you have good shackle position then mount. That is if "Everything else is done" as you say.

84? Must be a 2wd conversion.
Use a hole saw. 2 1/16" is ideal. 2" will work but tight if ya shoot straight and 2 1/8" is loose but can work as well.
Location in the frame is a bit different for everybody based on your particular springs, weight of the rig, desired shackle angle, alignment of the constellations and so on and so forth.
Take a look at an existing 4 wheel drive frame and consider your particulars and go from there.
If this isn't a 2wd conversion..... ehhh, still applies.

yea its a 2wd conversion bought it like that.im not planing on doing anything major with the thing hit a mud hole everynow and then.mostly gonna be a street truck/work truck. i mainly just needed to know which way i should place them like 1 inch forward straight up 1 inch back? i dont know anybody with a 4x4 chevy i can measure off of at the moment.

i found a good pic of the stock location and a non stock location i think ill position mine around the stock location just to keep things simple.

lol... that's a pic of my truck.
You can see the mount is forward of the stock 4x4 location.
Do as the others have suggested.
If you're using 52" rear chevy springs, I could get a center to center measurement for ya from mine...
