I have built the ram dodge should have built! 1998 dodge ram xtra cab 1500 5.9 auto. Put 2003 ford f-350 1 ton axles under it leaf springs and all, dana 50 was thinking 60 but use what you got.welded with yukon 4:88's and warn hubs. Rear is sterling 10.5 with 4:88's and an extra clutch plate packed in, pro-comp 16x10 wheels with 35" mickey thompson mtz's. Drives better than most new trucks and a helluv a lot stronger!!! I will be posting some pics asap! Coil spring fronts suck!!! Under a full size truck kinda like independent front axles all real trucks need
springs under them!!!

Have you seen my rig, read my sig below thats damn near the same exact rig except I dumped the auto when it went out and replaced it with a NV4500 from a Cummins. I have the 5.2 318 thought, so thats about alll you got on me:flipoff2: I wish I had the extd cab. But Im on 38.5 t-birds and have a set of 40 XLs for later. I still need to weld up my rear axle though. I love the set up ride really nice but Ive got plans to dump them super doonkie axle for some rockwells. Fun trucks, let see some pictures

Front leaf springs were standard on the older Dodge rigs.

no shit sherlock, but they never rode as well or flexed near as much as the 5 link coil suspensions 2nd gens do
