i am thinking of getting a XJ. i have a rubicon now but want more cargo area(due to wife/2 kids). I would like to clear 35s (maybe 37s) for ground clearance. but want to keep it as low as possible. if i get one it will be a 4door. what due you guys recommend for lifts (preferebly long arm). i dont mind cutting body either. any input would be great. thanks..

well to clear 37's and stay low to the ground you will have no front fenders and the back will be SUPER cut up. i rean 35's and scrubbed with 6.5". the best long arms are home biult, unless you have money then claytons makes a very nive set. RE sucks ass

35? or 37? Reason asking is, 37's wont hold with stock axles. 35's are doable but pushin it big time. If your gonna go with 37's you better ask about axle swaps, not lift kits.

Theres a TON a LA kits out there. Contrary to what the idiot above me said, the best kits will have good material strength and good rod ends. Ive seen some VERY poorly built homemade setups. Avoid rubber and poly bushing if you can. A few to check out though include, Tnt Customs, Clayton Offroad, Rusty's, Rubicon Express, BDS Suspension, Rock Krawler (3-link), TeraFlex, Tomken and Full Traction. I often recomend TNT, Clayton, and BDS.
