I am trying to rebuild a 9.25 axle and i am currently trying to remove the pinion. I got the yoke off but i cannot get the pinion to pop out. The is a collar on top of the outer bearing that i cannot get off and i think that holds the outer bearing on. any ideas? Thanks

Put the nut back on the pinion and tap it with a deadblow hammer or mallet. It will pop out but be ready to catch it. Or you can put the cover back on with a couple bolts to keep it from hitting the floor.
