well i have looked for a used one, but think i am going to have to buy a new one, i only found 2 places around with ok deal, one was a Jacks trailers in Tracy, and another was someplace in concord, where did eveybody else get thier best deal on a Tandum axle trailer?

I called around a few weeks ago, and they had the best deal I could find.

Those carson trailers at concord garden equiment don't seem to bad. Back when I had the money to buy one thats who I talked to $1300 ain't bad. But house was more important AKA garage <IMG SRC="smilies/beer.gif" border="0">

if you have the time you could try and get a shop class to build one in my high school shop class there was always tons of them and you just paid for materials

Go far away from the bay area, they are cheaper elsewhere. Go look up in Orland, Chico, Redding, Reno,... You will end up saving a few hundred

I just got mine at california custom trailer I paid almost $1800.00 for it. It's the widest one they make 83 inches between wheel well, good trailers..

When you need a semi-custom trailer there is a point where it is either cheaper and/or better to build one from scratch or buy a cheaper model or used one and modify as necessary. Like when you want drive over fenders, high clearance, long ramps, 6000 lbs axles with big brakes etc... I tried to find one I liked and it ended up being quite expensive--almost the price of a cheaper enclosed trailer (which would not have held up for long) so I built one. Wanting a good heavy duty triple axle enclosed right now but can't spare the $$$ right now. I have a buddy building a 40ft triple axle with 10' ceilings right now--man thats a lot of steel and work!

i've heard this is a good place. also reeds in pengrove. i might just go to reeds cuz its close to my place.

mark look in those classafieds papers down were you live, i've seen tons of ads for trailers.

yeah i have seen a few for new trailers for 2k, never a used one or a decent priced one, i am looking for 1500-1800 bucks on this

When you say it is cheaper to build do you have a good source for inexpensive new axles or are you talking about using used axles. I passed up some free mobil home axles a few months ago and now am regretting it.

See if you can get the spec's on that $1300 trailer in Concord if you make it by there this weekend, brakes, axle capacity, width, length and weight if possible. Almost sounds too good to be true... <IMG SRC="smilies/bounce2.gif" border="0">

electric toung jack. 4 5000lb tie downs
conected to the frame.
2 tourk flight 5000lb axels these are the
axels that do not use leaf springs so
if you get a flat you can just remove a the
tire and keep going.(done this)

cost if you pick it up at factory about
$8000 I looked in to building some thing
similar but cost wise it was close enugh
that I bought it from the factory.

that I needed.

I know it sounds like a lot of money to spend on a trailer but I also use it in the winter
for snowmobileing and all year for search and rescue operations.
