Two ways
1. look on the data plate usually on the driver door or pillar.

2. put it on a scale and weigh the damn POS. <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

I'm not sure the data plate on the door has curb weight.. none of MY rigs do, anyhow.. just GVWR.

Find the nearest "Weigh Station" on a nearby highway. Figger out when it's closed (there's one 10 miles from my house that seems to NEVER be OPEN). Pull up onto the scale and then run over to the scale house.

Sometimes they turn the read-out around so you can read it from your driver's seat.. sometimes you have to find a window with a good view of where the desk is so you can read the readout.

My tow rig, "empty", tipped the scales at 3200lbs front, and 3200lbs rear (with a couple transmissions and a pile of tools in the bed).

Your Excursion had better be a lot less than that. <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

Camo- I have a 1999 2wd Expedition and I'm pretty sure the weight is listed in the towing section of the owners manual. I could look it up but I seem to remember your's being 4wd so the weight of mine won't help you.

Good luck!

drive it across the scales at the local landfill, simple and accurate

a local landscape supply has a scale, the guy working it will usually let you go on for free, if not for $5. using this method a superduty was about 7000

CAll a U-Haul. They will have the weight in their books. That way they can calc the total combined weight of their trailer and your rig.

Truck stops have scales.

You can also measure the sq. inches of your tire patches and the air pressure in lb/sqin to find the actual weight.
