: Video review - SWG CalROCS, Reno
Lance 08-26-2002, 09:27 PM I just knocked down a few  over at UGETIT's house, and watched Suburban White Guy's "Madness at Moonrocks" CalROCS, Reno video. It was excellent. It had great action, and good camera angles. Interviews with some of the drivers, good lookin chicks, and decent music. I would definitely recommend this video to anyone who likes 4x4 vids. This is the probably the best SWG video to date. More info at http://difficulttrail.com/CalRocs_video.shtml
FYI I didn't get a free video to say this, I am simply letting you all know about a good video I saw.... :p
edit - I just checked the website, and it said "coming soon". I'm pretty sure it IS available, since I just watched it at my buddy's house.
Wilson 08-26-2002, 09:35 PM It is available. I have it sitting on my desk right now. Toyfamily picked it up at the Carnage event. I agree, there was a lot of action, and I like teh features on several of the competitiors rigs, especially the Rockme/ Hi Angle Driveline sponsored buggae. :flipoff2: I'm definitely going to have to hit the gym, after watching my legs shake as I was trying to roll it back over by myself.
fatkid 08-26-2002, 09:45 PM I saw the Chimney rock video, I like it cause it was long enough to see some wheeling. Some of these videos are too short.:)
Steve N 08-26-2002, 09:52 PM It sucked it didn't even show our roll:p J/K :D :flipoff2:

Yeah it's available from Difficult Trail, I got one from them several weeks ago. Send an email to Mark at Difficult Trail if you can't order it directly on their website.
1TONTJ 08-27-2002, 05:55 AM Lance,
Anyone ever come out with a video for the comp where you gunned it and jumped off that ledge?
Or what about the one where the guy rolled twice, then made it? What comp was that? Where do I get the video?
Thanks,
Phil
nobody20 08-27-2002, 07:05 AM Yes, the double roll is on SWG video. Don't remeber which one though. They do an interview with him after the rolls.
1TONTJ 08-27-2002, 07:10 AM Anyone know which SWG video? I'd like to see that. Is it a good one worth buying?
Thanks,
Phil

Yes, it is on the SWG Victorville video. You can get that on the same link above. It also has Don Robbins' BAD ASS hydraulic rollover freakout session. :D

The guy making vids at my last mud race is going to make DVD copies available. Surely, this is going to be the trend.

1TONTJ 08-27-2002, 10:04 AM Are these suburban white guys videos available on DVD?
Phil
Even my small local competition has DVD movies for sale...
The Hammerdown videos(mostly UROC footage) by Invictus Productions, who supposedly makes killer biking videos I guess, are available on DVD. They only have one wheelin' video available right now, but there is one more from this season coming soon, and then the Supercrawl video/DVD. The first video(Hammerdown) is from the first of this last season, so it lacks the big names, but Hammerdown 2 should have a lot more familiar people in it. Plus, they have Monster trucks rockcrawlin'(at like 50 mph) on Hammerdown:eek: It's my 2 year olds favorite video:cool:

Is it appropriate for younger folks? My nephew likes to watch the rockcrawling videos, is it something you would let youngsters watch?

I'd give it a PG-13 rating.

Maybe it is best viewed by 2 year olds. My friends 7 year old liked it also.
But I am not so sure the adults on this BB would like it near as much. I would take Mr. Ed and Rick Russell over Hammerdown. Hammerdown is one of my least favorite rockcrawling videos. I'd have to view it again to remeber why I thought it was so boring. But can't stand to be that bored again. The best I can say is it rates two :flipoff2: :flipoff2:

The video is available now.
The "coming soon" refers to the web video preview clip.
$25 includes shipping in the USA and Canada.
(Canadians and anyone outside of the USA are responsible for any duty/tax)
Note: Difficult Trail is a retail distributor for SWG videos and Invictus "Hammer Down" videos/DVD
