I am thinking about trading my trailer for another one. This trailer has like 7k axles under it and 4 trailer brakes. Mine has only 2 trailer brakes and is not as stout but mine is complete. Also on this trailer he has some kinda of shock or something that connects to the pintle hitch from what he tells me. This trailer is 16ft and has a 4ft dove with ramps. what you guys think.

That looks like a surge brake to me, but thats just a guess.

I would ask myself:
Why does he want to trade a bigger trailer for a smaller, lesser one
Why do you need a larger much heavier trailer
What will it take to get rid of the pintle hitch and brake actuator if you don't want them
Can you build new fenders

What I would find out:
Are those mobile home axles
What shape are the tires in, if they are worn funny I would run
In what shape are the springs and axles
Does it track straight when pulled
Is it square
What condition is everything underneath in
How well is it fabricated

He needed a smaller trailer to do lawns and i think that i have taxed my trailer out weight wise dont think it was built to pull my truck. Surge brake so they are not electric brakes then? There are not mobile home axles they are 8 lug look like trailer axles. Tires seem to be in good shape alot of tread and no wear or dry rot.

some zilch

x3 on surge brakes. That is a hydraulic actuator, the hitch slides in as you brake, applying pressure to a master cylinder, applying the trailer brakes. Pretty good braking system.
Pintle hitches are very strong. They are also very loose. Ball hitch or 5th wheel have very little slack for banging around (especially empty). Pintles rattle around quite a bit when empty.
Shouldn't bother as long as you keep the radio turned up.:homer:
Looks like a good traier after some TLC. Go for it.

not a chance in hell.

New bed, new coupler, new brake system, new fenders, trailer looks like a goofy framed home built. Front crossmember looks goofy as fuck. The left side frame rail looks warped. The trailer looks arched in the middle, unless it's the picture.

I wouldn't trade my 4x8 trailer for it.
