My new HP/HV P/S pump recommends a synthetic fluid. I looked at VatoZone and they didn't have any. Go figure! Anyone know where to find some?

I use Amsoil transmission fluid, it works great.

be careful what fluid you run! some pumps are not compatible with atf or even valvoline synthetic. it has to do with the additives. i called PSC about my 1200-x pump and they said to only use standard p.s. fluid without additives or royal purple synthetic, others will dissolve the seals. check with the manufacturer first. Summit has royal purple if you need.

I had Napa order the Royal Purple for me. They had it at the warehouse in town, just not in the actual store.

Royal Purple was the only one I could find last year. Now Amsoil makes some.
