I've found a BEAT m715 with a braden PTO powered winch in the front. what's the deal with these?where's the PTO? on the tranny or the T-case? from grossly poor memory, the 715 has a t98 tranny? I wanna rape this thing for the winch and the pto for my 78 Cherokee with a t18a. but will everything fit?

Anything will fit with a sawzall and a big enough hammer. :D
However, are you sure you want to have a winch that'll only work when the engine is running? Better stay outta the deep stuff.

I'mm willing to watch while you figure out how to use a sawzall to bolt a pto to your Jeep (not mine) :flipoff2:
I realize the problems with an engine driven winch, still, if I can get it for cheap, you'd buy it, too, wouldn't you?

I was thinking channel for the PTO shaft up to the front of the vehicle...
But seriously, I've went wheeling with a guy who had a PTO winch. Lotsa power, pain in the ass to use.

Start here:

And look at their PTO section. You'll need to know if the T18 has straight or helical cut teeth, etc.

It's the tranny that drives the PTO. I have one on my M-715. The transfer case is divorced.
Not sure you want to put that winch on a lighter vehicle...
If you buy it, I could use the T-98.
