To All Race Fans. I salute Shannon Campbell! He's worked long and hard to
get where he's at today. He does not use or step on anyone elses glory to
climb to success and is the most grateful and appreciative professional that I
have ever had the privilege of meeting. Shannon Campbell is "Yes" competitive! He came to this event prepared and ready to win. Is it so
important to try to tear down a mans self respect and integrity to justify
you're lack of!! All this crap that has been posted is full of holes...Meaning...
get your facts straight boys! First off Campbell was told to proceed on course but not to interfere with the other drivers. With two hours down time
he drove hard and fast! He wasn't competing any longer, he was finishing
what he came to do. Campbell is not a quiter! The most awesome "King of
The Hammer" event is being muddied up for the lack of ...What Rules??....
Written? Verbalized? Changed to fit the cituation? or Just make them up
as you go? Kind of hard to justify who the real winners are in my book!!

I like your kind words and I have full respect of Shannon and everything he has done for the sport. I have not said a sinlge word about anything that has happened and plan on not posting anymore than this one post, but i think you need to reread your post and explain where he "did not interfere with other drivers" I believe that is the one thing that people have the problem with. Not the fact that he was DQed and continued to race, thats great that he kept going and finished with a awesome time, but he also did interfere with other drivers.
