hello my name is Joel Lilly, here is my story, i am a staff seargent in the U.S. AIR FORCE i am currently serving on an unaccompanied remote in Korea unacommpanied means that i come here for 1 year and my wife and two kids stay home in paradise ca , which means that now i am supporting two households, now everything was going smooth until recently my car made a funny noise long story short my car needs a new engine, but i dont have the money, my landcruiser runs well, but is not safe for my wife and kids to run around in, stopping in my cruiser is always an adventure, gas guage dont work, speedo dont work, blinkers dont blink, front axle seals are bad so it leaks, transfercase leaks a lot, and i run 35x12.50's and no power steering, i am not asking anyone for a hand out just maybee a deal on some parts or advice on where my wife could take my cruiser to get fixed with out costing an arm and leg, i have a 74 cruiser with a 350, i have just about everything i need to convert to power steering minus the braket for the frame were the box attaches and a steering shaft, i was gonna do the mini truck disc brake thing but ran out of time and money, i found the parts at toyo mart in rancho cordoba for $350 can anyone beat this price, and does anyone have a working fuel level sending unit they are willing to part with cheaply, wait there is more this july i put a non op the cruiser cause i was leaving the country but it needs a smog check but i know the carb is way to messed up to pass so i need to know a good place that will work with me on the carb and not charge a million bucks to get it dialed in, i hate to ask so much of people i have never met but if there is one thing i know cruiser people are good people everytime i go somewhere in my cruiser i always get waves from other cruisers and when i am parked somewhere and see another cruiser they always have time to talk cruiser so their is no better comunity of vehicle owners oh and if some one happens to have a 1998 2.7 litre dodge intrepid engine laying around and want to part with it cheaply we can talk too. thanks for any help and taking the time to read this big ass post
