For some reason my knobs started functioning backwards. idle goes down when turned to the right, mid-rand tune works backwards, etc.. This isn't such a big deal but I was wondering if anybody else had this happen? Do all the buttons work backwards or just those two??? It's the analog version 1993 model 670tbi

you know those knobs control mixture, right??

It would be normal for the idle speed to go down as you turn it to the right, because you are putting too rich a mixture into the motor. The mid-range knob works the same way.

Well is it possible that the idle mixture values would change in relationship to the other adjustments causing the idle to work differently at different settings (midrange). Whats wierd is that the directions say to turn the mid knob clockwise to highest rpm (beginning at 3000) then back it down counterclockwise until the rpm's just start to drop. that whole scenario is exactly backwards in my setup.

try leaning out the MAIN knob quite a bit. It sounds like you are running rich throughout the whole adjustment of the knob, that's why it is acting weird.

thanks for the help, check the pic I think your thinking of the newer units. I don't have a main knob.

maybe it's my eyes, but i can't read the labels in the pic. ohh well. Here's what you can try that will have the same effect. Get a fuel pressure regulator, and lower the pressure a few lbs. See how that works, then go a little more if it needs it. My pump is a 15psi unit, is yours the same?

not sure on the pump. it's the holly replacement for that system.
