This is for a linkand coil setup...

I am wanting to find a rubber or soft poly bushing that is readily available (ie came on a mass produced rig from the last 20 years).

I like the stock TJ lower control arm bushings but the OD is not cylindrical so building mounts will be a little difficult for me.

I want something in the 2" to 3" OD range for a good amount of deflection and vibration absorption.

I would easily consider a "top hat" style 2 piece bushing like found in alot of leaf springs but I have never seen one big enough.

I have search and could easily find the deals on Aurora rod ends, tractor links and POREs, JJ, RE cartridges but nothing on digging up good rubber.

FYI... Even though the TJ LCA bushings have a step in them, you can press them into the right size DOM tubing (can't remember what size) with a big enough press. My friend did it when he built a long arm for his TJ. BTW that is how RE does it. HTH

5 minutes with a grinder takes care of the ledge on the stock TJ bushings and You can get them at napa for about 8 bucks each, or cut them out of stock arms like I did.

BillaVista's website (link below) had a moog cross reference (the stock bushing is a clevite). Napa has them under the moog part number. on his site the reference shows all the dimensions so it should be easy to find one you like.

edit: I had to go look again and here's the link to his pdf directory.

look at the moog rubber bushing chart.
