i have a reg that i use for my mig (350psi max) , i also have a CO2 extinguisher setup for airing up tires, will the regulator get damaged if i use it on the tank for airing up tires? how can i keep it from getting damaged?
thanks!

Keep the bottle upright so that the regulator doesn't get liquid in it. Other than that I don't know of any other reason it would get damaged. I use the same reulator on my welder for Co2 or Ar/Co2 mix. No problems
I work with some other liquid source gases like HCL and Nh3 and getting liguid in the regulator is the problem we ever have with then other than the HCL will eat the regulator and therfor cause problems.
I cant remember what the vapor pressure is of Co2 but it might be higher than 350 I think it was more like 600 psi.

Are you sure your mig regulator is 350 psi or 350 cfh (cubic feet per hour?
Most regulators for mig welders are setup for around 0-80cfh.

1) The fitting will likely be different

2) Even if it is not...it will be a complete waste of time - you couldn't fill a kids balloon with that reg, much less a tire. It provides very little volume....ask me how I know.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

I don't have any idea how this would work but for the price, you could give it a shot... :D

ok guys, the exact readings on the reg are:
Scfh:60 max L/min: 30max

psi:4200max bar: 310 max

does that look like it'll work?

oh, and i have all the fittings to make it work.
